Topics include: System and Capabilities, Special Blissymbols, Vocabulary Selection, Blissymbol Communication and Interaction, Assessment and Programming.

Completion of the Independent Study Program enables students to apply for the Elementary Training Examination. Upon successful completion of the exam, the student receives an Elementary Training Certificate. Instructions for application to write the exam are included in the Independent Study Kit.
