Licensing
The Blissymbol graphic communication system was originally copyrighted by © C.K. Bliss 1949, and the copyright was transferred to and has been maintained by Blissymbolics Communication International (BCI) (1975-1982-2010).
Blissymbol resources and in particular the Blissymbolics Communication International Authorized Vocabulary – BCI-AV – are made available for use and distribution by others under one of the two following licensing conditions:

Under a royalty based and supported licensing agreement with BCI. This distribution form is for all commercial products and services.

Under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. This distribution form is for distribution and inclusion within free so called “copyleft” software, other free resources and services, and non-commercial activities. In distribution under this licence, the following basic licence information shall be included within the distribution:
“Blissymbol resources based on the Blissymbolics Communication International Authorized Vocabulary (BCI-AV) are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. Based on a work by Blissymbolics Communication International (BCI) available via www.blissymbolics.org.
