20 April 2010 - iBlissymbols - the first Blissymbol AAC application for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad: Today the Polish developer Jaromir Kopp announced the availability of iBlissymbols from App Store for only 19$. The program contains a full, official collection of Blissymbols (now 4,496 symbols) provided by BCI. Symbols are described in English, Polish, Swedish (~3,040 descriptions), Norwegian (~3,010 descriptions) and Russian (~2,270 descriptions). 11 March 2010 - In Memoriam of Ann Running: With great regrets we bring you the sad news of the loss of our BCI Board member Ann Running. Please read Shirley McNaughton's In Memoriam of Ann Running. All who knew Ann are encouraged to give their web tributes in the Toronto Star guest book. 8 March 2010 - Nordic Bliss Meeting in Stockholm:Please check out Margareta Jennische's Report from the Nordic Bliss meeting in Stockholm. 19 persons from Norway, Finland, Iceland, Sweden met for two days. Important organisational issues were discussed, and around 20 new Blisswords were suggested for inclusion in the BCI Authorized Vocabulary.

Don't miss this report by Margareta Jennische about the first workshop in Ukraine on Blissymbolics that was held at Dragomanov National Pedagogic University, Department of Speech Therapy, Kiev. 20 November 2009 - BlissOnline is now on-line:The Swedish "Agency for Special Needs Education and Schools" (SPSM) is since 20 November offering the on-line subscription based service BlissOnline. It provides a database of the BCI Authorized Blissymbol vocabulary, lookup and export services, currently in English and Swedish, and a range of relevant image file formats, a simple symbol chart creation, storage and print function etc. The lexicon support is envisaged to include a growing number of languages, more comprehensive symbol information and search, and more. Please check out, make use of, and support this service by subscribing if you have a chance! (A fraction of the subscription fee for BlissOnline will go to BCI, so you will also be supporting us economically.)
October 2009 - The Bliss Panel meeting in Stockholm: Here is (Sorry for the delay!) the Report from the 2009 BCI Panel meeting in Stockholm by Margareta Jennische and the Blissymbolics Development Secretariat (BDS). More than 30 people from 12 countries gathered for a week. Around 200 new Blisswords were suggested for inclusion in the BCI Authorized Vocabulary.
